This is the perfect opportunity for someone to either make an excellent investment in a log cabin rental business or who is looking to make a complete life change and run the business whilst living in the attractive bungalow adjoining the cabins set in the heart of the Dalby Forest in North Yorkshire.
The log cabins are rented on short term holiday lets in this tranquil corner of North Yorkshire. This is the only log cabin accommodation available within the forest and benefits from the wonderful location being approximately three miles from the local village with shops and amenities. They are close by to the ancient city of York, nearby to the East Coast and all within the North Yorkshire Moors. The forest is surrounded by a wide range of opportunities for customers to enjoy themselves all year round. These include over 55 kms of world class mountain bike tracks, 30 kms of horse riding trails, hundreds of walking trails with great numbers of wildlife and a forest visitor centre providing vital information and catering. During the year there are regular annual events held in the forest including, rally driving and mountain bike championships which attract a huge amount of visitors each year.
There are four log cabins, two of which are two bedroom accommodation, and one a one bedroom lodge, and are rented out all year round. The fourth, a one bedroom cabin sleeps two, is set up currently used as an office. Each of the cabins are fully furnished with satellite TV, DVD, free WiFi and outside BBQ and relaxing area. The owners live on site in an attractive brick built four bedroom bungalow. There are timber outbuildings, a fully fitted plant room, a free standing sauna room for guests and a residents’ car park at the front with the cabins and bungalow set within a circa 0.8 acre site
The owners are looking to pursue another start-up project as their next challenge in life in another part of the country
The family use the second single bedroom cabin as an office at present. No work would need to be undertaken to transform this into a rental paying cabin.
Current turnover is generated by the three rented cabins, with the fourth utilised as office by choice and to minimise workload. With a fourth cabin, and not restricting rentals to suit the owner’s lifestyle, turnover could comfortably exceed the VAT threshold
